“People say that Poatan only knows striking. They are quite mistaken. He does very well, especially in defense. (…) This really frustrates the guys who take down. You push and the guy gets up. (…) Poatan is very sinister. (…) He is very intelligent, he knows the right time to knock. It's very difficult to finish it. He’s prepared for anything,” he explained.

For Turman, there is no doubt that Alex is close to playing in the middleweight elite. Even with a UFC presentation, Wellington explains the position.

“Poatan is calm. He wants to train, evolve, be patient, but, beating (Bruno) Blindado, a guy coming from three consecutive victories, I think he will throw his name up and go to the lions. It’s definitely going to take some work and get this (Israel) Adesanya,” he concluded.

On March 12, Blindado will make his second appearance with the Ultimate gloves. The former Glory champion debuted in the company with a big victory over Andreas Michailidis.
