"It's a shame. They said, 'Oh, we're going to fight Jake with a broken rib. Let's fight Jake with a chest infection. Let's fight Jake with our arms tied behind our backs.' Then, when it really came time to fight me, they withdrew,” Paul complained.
After Fury asked for the fight to be rescheduled, Jake criticized the way the English fighter prepared for the duel and said he saw no reason for the confrontation to happen in the future.
“He didn’t show up at the press conference and withdrew from the fight. He did a terrible job promoting the fight. He always posted on social media, once every two weeks. I am upset. I don't like them or anything that has to do with their family. I think they are incomplete and dismal. And I don’t see any reason to come back next year and give him such a big opportunity and such a big scholarship,” concluded Jake.
With Tommy Fury leaving the card, the former UFC Tyron woodley was chosen as a replacement and will make the long-awaited rematch against Jake Paul. The duel is scheduled for December 18th, in Tampa, Florida (USA).
