One of the most respected coaches in the history of MMA, Brazilian Rafael Cordeiro would like to count, one day, on a special 'student' in his gym. Leader of Kings MMA, a team based in California (USA), the master revealed his dream of one day training the former light heavyweight champion (up to 93kg) Jon Jones, whom he called a 'genius'.

"For me, Jon Jones He is a genius and I would like to spend some time with him in the gym to understand where this mentality comes from. I believe that everyone has something Jon Jones within himself, but for me, it will be a pleasure to train with him one day and discover a little more about Jon Jones”, revealed Cordeiro.
Even with the serious problems faced by the former champion outside the Octagon, Rafael preferred to stay calm and believes that some time together will probably be beneficial for both parties.
"He's a good boy. Sometimes everyone judges, he has his problems. So… Everyone has problems. No one should accept what he did, especially when you have daughters, but everyone has circumstances in life that make things happen like this. Circumstances make you do stupid things sometimes, but we can't judge anyone. I talk about martial arts. He has his martial arts side there and I think I can help him work more and more”, concluded Rafael.
Leader of Kings MMA, Rafael Cordeiro has already shaped great athletes in the history of MMA, such as Anderson Silva, Wanderlei Silva, Fabricio Werdum and others. The Brazilian trainer has also worked with the boxing legend Mike Tyson and with the former UFC lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos.
