Gold medalist at the Tokyo Olympic Games, Margaux Pinot recorded on social media moments of tension experienced alongside her coach and partner, Alain Schmitt, last weekend. The move to publish images of his injured face, allegedly due to the coach's attacks, came after the coach's release from the French court.

In your account at Instagram, Pinot – who reached first place on the podium in the judo team competition – regretted the decision. Captioning the published image, the fighter reported the dramatic situation she experienced with Schmitt, a former French national team athlete.
“During the night from Saturday to Sunday, I was the victim of an attack at my home by my partner and coach. I was insulted, I was punched, my head hit the ground several times. And finally I was strangled. I thought she was dead, but I managed to escape to take refuge with my neighbors, who immediately called the police. I have several injuries, including a broken nose and ten days of temporary interruption from work”, reported the judoka, in an excerpt transcribed by 'ge'.
Afterwards, Pinot did not hide his indignation with the justice system. With Schmitt's release, the Olympic champion made a harsh and sincere outburst, referring to her partner's impunity.
“Today, the courts decided to release him. What is your slanderous defense against my wounds and the blood smeared on the floor of my apartment? What was missing? Death at the end, perhaps? It was probably judo that saved me. And my thoughts are also with those who cannot say the same”, he concluded.
Now free, Alain was arrested last Saturday (27). According to 'ge', the coach denied all accusations.
