The Asian MMA market still has a big difference compared to the Western one: the release of goal shots – kicks to the head with the opponent lying on the ground – and stomps. And precisely one of these scams caused great controversy in the edition of 'RIZIN Trigger 1st', promoted by 'Rizin FF' and held last Sunday (27), in Japan.

Protagonist of one of the main fights of the night, the previously undefeated Yusaku Kinoshita cornered him, scored a knockdown and, with Ryuichiro Sumimura down, applied a 'cockroach choke' to his opponent's head, who couldn't handle the pressure and ended up knocked out.

What had been an impressive triumph turned into a somewhat controversial result. The duel referee decided to disqualify Kinoshida because the fighter had held onto the fence to strike and, therefore, handed the victory in the fight to Sumimura.

Therefore, Yusaku Kinoshita suffered from the reversed result and suffered his first setback in five fights. Ryuichiro Sumimura 'took the opportunity' to celebrate his 18th career triumph, while he also has seven other setbacks and a draw in his career in mixed martial arts.
