“100% sure (of Cejudo returning). If he loses (in his dream fight for the featherweight title), he will return to the bantamweight division (up to 61,2kg). He's not coming back to just have one fight. He comes for a clash of legacies, to get three belts”, said Abdelaziz, in an interview with 'MMA fighting'.

Former owner of two titles in different categories, Cejudo left the sport in May 2020. At the time, the fighter had just defeated Dominick Cruz and defended his belt from roosters.

Still in the octagon, the fighter, who is also an Olympic champion in wrestling, confirmed his decision to hang up his gloves. Henry's argument was about the years of exclusive dedication to martial arts.

The decision to stay out of MMA didn't last long. Since the end of last season, the fighter has expressed interest in facing the featherweight champion, Alexander Volkanovsky.

Today, Cejudo is 34 years old. As a professional in mixed martial arts, the athlete competed in 18 clashes, winning 16 and losing two.
