“In 2022, I will take my talent to welterweight,” wrote Holland, in his account on Instagram.
Representative of the middleweights (up to 83,9kg.) until his last challenge, Kevin experienced, in 2021, a season to be forgotten. After the 'no contest' against Kyle Daukaus, the North American reached his third appointment without winning, something unprecedented in his career.
Holland's fame in Ultimate arrived after a perfect 2020. That year, the athlete held five clashes, winning them all convincingly. One of the positive results was the knockout against Ronaldo Jacare.
The fighter was scheduled to repeat the confrontation against Daukaus. The clash would take place in UFC Las Vegas 42, but an injury forced Kevin to leave.
