Considered one of the greatest fighters in the history of women's MMA, Cyborg is trying to continue in her position for the third time since returning to Bellator. Previously, she defeated the Canadians julia budd, Arlene Blencowe – who will also be at the event – and, in her most recent fight, Leslie Smith.
Kavanagh, in turn, is trying to win the first belt of his career. A big Irish bet in the organization, she got her chance by beating Katharina Lehner in the judges' unanimous decision, in October 2020.
In addition to Cris, the Bellator 271 also features another Brazilian presentation. At the end of the preliminary card, 'Team Nogueira' fighter, Bruna Ellen, returns after almost two years against the American Desiree Yanez.
Cyborg x Kavanagh: duel of generations

Since then, Cyborg has seen action another 11 times, with ten wins and just one loss – including a successful stint in the UFC and return to Scott Coker's organization. On the other hand, Kavanagh had exactly the same number of fights, but with seven positive results and four negative results.
One of the biggest names in MMA history, Cris will make his 28th commitment as an MMA professional. Currently, the fighter has a record of 24 wins, two losses and one fight without result. She last lost in December 2018 when she was knocked out by Amanda nunes.
Known for being one of the academy's greatest promisessbg ireland', Sinead managed to knock out four of her seven wins. She has not lost in three fights, since she was defeated by Leslie Smith – Cyborg's last opponent – in a majority decision, in July 2019.
More Brazil
The Brazilian public can also follow another representative at the Bellator 271. Former flyweight promise (up to 56,7kg), Bruna Ellen returns to the cage after almost two years off to face the American Desiree Yanez.
The 25-year-old Brazilian athlete is coming off a defeat to the current champion of the division, Juliana Velasquez, in December 2019. In fact, she has alternated between triumphs and setbacks in her last four performances and has a record of five positive results and three negatives. Coincidentally, only one of her nine fights did not end in the judges' decision.
Yanez, 31, was unlucky in his debut with the company, which took place in April this year. On that occasion, the North American was defeated by Veta Arteaga and had her debut on the wrong foot after going through the 'Combate Américas' event. Professional since 2018, she also has a record of five triumphs and three setbacks, but comes under pressure with two negative results in a row.
