“For me, the mistake I made and that I want to correct in this fight, is that I fought with a lot of emotion. As much as the emotion I was willing to show had to do with who I fought, which is why I think I didn't get hit much, but it was fun. I had fun. It lets you know that I have a little crazy man inside me too. I don’t mind being hit,” said the Nigerian.

Welterweight champion since 2019, Usman is going for his fifth title defense in the category. Since he dethroned the then leader Tyron woodley, in March 2019, the Nigerian defeated Jorge masvidal (twice), Colby covington e Gilbert Durinho. The fighter has a record in MMA of 19 victories and just one setback.
