Aljamain Sterling reacts to Petr Yan's victory over Cory Sandhagen at UFC 267: 'See you soon'

The North American surprises, praises the performance of the two athletes and asks the Russian to 'get ready' for the long-awaited rematch for the bantamweight title

And the rivalry continues. Linear bantamweight champion (up to 61,2kg.), aljamain sterling was attentive to the 'war' between Petr yan e Cory Sandhagen in the second most important fight of the UFC 267, event held last Saturday (30). And, on his social networks, the American commented on the Russian's victory and promises to meet him in the octagon soon.

“Great men and a good fight. I scored 48-47 for (Petr) Yan. You won the first battle! Rest and enjoy the work you've done. See you soon,” wrote Sterling, in his 'Twitter' official.

Current bantamweight champion, Sterling won the belt in controversial fashion. The two athletes faced each other in the UFC 259, in March of this year. In the fourth round of the fight, the North American suffered an illegal knee from the Russian and was unable to continue the fight. After the accident, Petr was disqualified from the fight, which gave the victory and the world title to the 'Funk Master'.

And, with a new victory for Petr yan – this time against Cory Sandhagen, the rematch between the athletes must, in fact, be scheduled. In fact, the fight would be held in UFC 267, but the American was forced to withdraw due to a complication with his neck injury.
