Petr yan It's just joy. After winning the interim belt in UFC 267 last Saturday (30), the Russian tried to praise the 'war' with Cory Sandhagen and valued the support of the public present in Abu Dhabi, in the United Arab Emirates. He even revealed that he was 'confused' by the damage suffered in the fight.

“Of course, after the fight, I'm a little confused by everything that happened in the fight. But I'm very happy with what I managed to do. My strategy worked and I'm happy to also have the support of the fans. I have a feeling of accomplishment (…) I respect Cory Sanhagen for the fight we fought and for the athlete he is. I also have nothing to criticize him as a person,” said Yan.
After passing Sandhagen, Yan should have a rematch against aljamain sterling as his next Ultimate fight. And, in the first fight between the athletes, he was disqualified for inflicting an illegal knee on his opponent – who was unable to continue the fight. Professional since 2013, Petr has a record of 15 triumphs and two setbacks in his career in mixed martial arts.
