Ultimatum. After accepting to face Jorge masvidal No. UFC 269, Leon edwards wants a title shot. Using his favorable numbers as an argument, the Englishman demanded that Ultimate finally grant him the right to challenge the champion. In an interview with 'The MMA Hour', the welterweight (up to 77kg.) spoke about the subject.

“This is my 12th in a row, without defeats. I'm looking forward to going out there and showing the world how good I am. Go out there and face Nate diaz, later, Jorge masvidal, two 'thick skinned', I feel like I deserve that belt. Give me the title later”, said the fighter.

Current number three in the ranking led by Kamaru Usman, Edwards is experiencing a great moment in his career. In total, the athlete doesn't know what it's like to lose for 10 fights. His last setback came in December 2015, when he was overcome by Usman himself, when the Nigerian had not yet worn the company's belt.

Since then, there have been nine triumphs and one 'no contest'. In December, when he shares the octagon with Masvidal, Leon will reach the mark of three appearances in the current season.
