After failing twice on the scale to beat the weight of the roosters (up to 61,2kg.), Norm Dumont decided to permanently move up to featherweight (up to 65,7kg.) and, now, defeated Aspen ladd in the unanimous decision of the judges, in a fight for UFC Las Vegas 40 last Saturday (16).

In a post-event interview, the Brazilian became emotional when talking about the UFC PI (Ultimate Performance Institute), which 'saved her career' by having great emotional and physical importance in preventing the Brazilian athlete from experiencing other problems during the measurements.
“I made weight (at featherweight) very well. I would also like to thank the people at PI – physical trainers, physiotherapists and doctors. I arrived in Las Vegas mentally and physically broken and they recovered me. I almost got fired and the PI got me back. So, I'm very grateful. That's why I know what (Aspen) Ladd is going through. I really understand her pain at this moment”, said Dumont, in an emotional moment.
At 31, Norm Dumont She has seven wins and one loss in her professional MMA record, where she has competed since 2016. In the bantamweight organization, she managed to defeat Ashlee Evans-Smith. And, since she nailed her ultimate climb, she defeated Felicia spencer e Aspen ladd in sequence.
