“He disrespected Palestine and I won’t miss the chance to disrespect him,” he explained.
Muhammad's publication came after Strickland's comments about the territory on social media. At the time, the fighter stated that Palestinians should 'bend, adapt and become safe to succeed'.
Sean's post angered Muhammad, who has roots in the territory.
Provoked, Strickland showed no interest in Belal's 'threats'. Still no opponent for the UFC 268, the middleweight treated the attack with disdain, but stated that he will not let the provocation go unnoticed, suggesting a 'fight' outside the octagon.
“Muhammad, I've never seen you fight, but when you're in Las Vegas, I'm going to crush you, and for free. I need to move forward to get to a title shot. I don’t mind waiting for someone who’s worth it,” replied Sean, on his Instagram account.
The UFC has not yet confirmed whether Strickland will be retained or cut from the show. The show will feature two title fights, in rematches between Kamaru Usman e Colby covington, and in the duel of Rose namajunas e Weili Zhang.
