Originally scheduled to take place at UFC 269 on December 11th, the trilogy between Brandon Moreno e Deiveson Figueiredo had to be rescheduled by Ultimate. Now, the duel for the flyweight belt (up to 56,7kg.) takes place on the organization's first card in 2022, for edition 270, on January 22nd. The information was released by 'MMA Junkie' and confirmed by the Brazilian's manager, Wallid Ismail, in his 'Instagram' official.

“The fight has just been moved to January 22nd, but it’s a favorable date. I'll be better. I already told Brandon Moreno that I won't hit him in December. But in January you can wait, because (it will be) bad weather all the time”, guaranteed Deiveson, in 'live' by Wallid on the platform.
On the first occasion that Moreno and Figueiredo faced each other in the Octagon, the Brazilian defended his title by drawing with the Mexican in a balanced fight. In a second encounter, it was Brandon's turn to get the better of him by submitting Deiveson in the third round.
After the fight, Deiveson asked for the immediate trilogy and, although he was passed over by Alexandre pantoja, received the opportunity after a knee injury to his compatriot. Now, he has the chance to get revenge on Brandon and win back his belt.
Scheduled to take place on January 22nd, UFC 270 should also count on the unification of the heavyweight belt (up to 120,2kg), with combat between Francis Ngannou e Ciryl Gane. Besides Deiveson Figueiredo, Rudolph Vieira e Wellington Turman – that face each other – and Poliana Botelho there must be other Brazilian representatives on the card.
