According to the report, Liddell was detained after the Los Angeles Police Department received a call from his home and, upon arriving at the scene, they discovered that the former fighter was involved in a verbal argument that turned physical against his wife. She, however, did not need medical assistance.
The American is being held in the Los Angeles detention center and his total bail has been set at US$20 (around R$110) and the case continues to be investigated.
A member of the UFC's 'Hall of Fame', Liddell was the light heavyweight champion (up to 93kg) and achieved victories over names such as Vitor belfort, Wanderlei Silva, Tito Ortiz (2x) and alistair overeem. The 'Iceman' ended his career after being knocked out by Tito himself, at Bellator, in November 2018. During his career in MMA, he accumulated a record of 21 triumphs and nine setbacks.
