With the right to provoke St-Pierre, Cejudo makes a sincere outburst about the challenge to Volkanovski

Insistent in his quest for a third UFC belt against an Australian, 'Triple C' admits a chance of defeat and even 'nudges' the Canadian legend

Former double champion of the organization and retired since May 2020, the 'Triple C' has practically begged for an opportunity to test himself against the Australian. In a new attack, the American made a sincere outburst and took the opportunity to 'poke' Georges St-Pierre.

“I’m not a Georges St-Pierre, who’s going to climb into the Octagon, choose Michael Bisping and then get out. With me, I'm going to move up a category to face probably the best featherweight in history. Either I defeat him, or I will be beaten. I'm willing to take risks,” said Cejudo, in an interview with 'ESPN'.

Criticized by Cejudo, GSP held his last fight in 2017, when he returned to MMA after a four-year hiatus. On that occasion, the former welterweight champion (77kg.) took on the challenge of facing the then middleweight leader (up to 83,9kg.), Bisping, and, with a submission, added his second title for the company. New owner of the throne, Georges was unable to defend his position and left the sport again.

Willing to make history, Henry won his first UFC belt in 2018, when he overcame the legendary Demetrious Johnson, in flyweight (up to 56,7kg.). Less than a year later, the North American moved up to bantamweight (up to 61,2kg) and defeated Marlon moraes in the dispute for the group's vacant title. The athlete defended his position in both categories (one in each), being successful in both.
