Conor McGregor has been recovering impressively from the serious injury suffered in the main fight of the UFC 246, against Dustin poirier, in July this year. According to Dana White, the former lightweight (up to 70,3 kg) and featherweight (up to 65,7 kg) champion could return to the Octagon in 2021.

Although it is considered unlikely that the early return of Conor McGregor, Dana was impressed with the evolution of the Irishman, who was seen walking only with the help of a cane and was even involved in a mess at the VMAs, an award ceremony organized by MTV, last weekend.
In an interview with the Australian newspaper “Australian Daily Telegraph”, Dana stated that, if he can already receive kicks on his injured leg, Conor could return to fight this year.
“Conor appears to be recovering very well. The question is: when will he be able to shoot again? If he can catch kicks, then he'll be looking for a fight later this year. It depends on how quickly his leg heals,” said the UFC president.
In a recent interview, Conor McGregor revealed that he already feels confident to kick with his injured leg.
“I feel like I can shoot now, honestly. But I need to listen to the doctors and the people who guided me, that's what I've been doing. I committed to the work and it’s great to be back on my feet”, said the Irishman at the time.
