UFC collaborator reveals that Topuria denied title defense against rival in 'enemy territory'

On the rise in Ultimate, Ilia Topuria shows that he is not willing to take great risks in order to protect the featherweight belt (up to 65,7kg.). According to Joe Rogan, the organization's official commentator, the champion refused to hold an immediate rematch against Alexander Volkanovksi in Australia, his rival's home country. Despite the statement, it is not known what Ultimate's decision will be.

“I don't know who he wants to fight next, but, I mean, I think he feels like he's the champion, that he can make the decisions. But I know he turned down Perth (Australia) the (UFC) 305, the rematch with Volkanovski,” said Rogan on his podcast.
