Qualified for the final of the PFL lightweight (up to 70,3 kg) tournament, the Brazilian Raush Manfio is just over a month away from having the most important fight of his career. The “War Horse”, however, believes he has already overcome the worst challenges of the season on his way to the big decision.

On their way to the grand final of the 2021 PFL season, Raush Manfio surpassed Joilton Lutterbach, Anthony Pettis and Clay Collard, all by decision of the side judges. In an interview with the North American website Sherdog, the Brazilian stated that he believes that the path taken to the decision was more difficult than the fight for the title, against Loik Radzhabov.
“I think in the fight against Clay Collard I took more risks than against Loik. Loik is extremely dangerous in the first round, but his energy always drops. I'm the opposite. In the first round, my performance is low, in the second it is good and in the third it is my peak. In the fourth and fifth, the fight was over. I grow through the fight and he does the opposite. If the fight goes the distance, it’s better for me”, he analyzed Raush Manfio.
Despite thinking that the duel against Radzhabov does not represent the biggest challenge of the season, the Brazilian made a point of showing respect to his next opponent.
“I like the marriage of this fight, I have a lot of respect for him, he is a very, very good and tough fighter, I know he has the power to knock me out and he is a good wrestler. I respect him, but personally I believe that this fight is better for me than the one against Collard”, stated the “War Horse”.
