Evander Holyfield tried to respond to speculation about his health at 58 years old. Close to face Vitor belfort at 'Thriller Fight Club' this Saturday (11), the North American says he is in shape and ready to play in the duel. He even reveals that, even though he is not active, he has not stopped taking care of himself.

“Well, the thing is, I've been in good shape and I've been taking care of my body. I didn't have a lot of the bad habits that people have and that's a big part of why I'm back. Talking to younger people, you take care of yourself while you are young and when you get older you still take care of yourself. If you take care of yourself on both sides, you'll be fine,” revealed Holyfield, in an interview with 'MMA Junkie'.
Despite the backlash against Vitor belfort, Evander avoided talking about the future after the fight against the 'Phenomenon'. According to the veteran, he enjoys each performance and, as soon as it ends, he thinks about whether he will continue in the sport or retire permanently.
“It's like a one-time event, because after every fight I'm like, 'I don't know (if I'll do it again).' After each fight you have to make a decision: 'are you going to do it again or not?'. At any time, if I decide I don't want to do this anymore, that's okay,” concluded the American.
Holyfield has a great history in the sport. Still as an amateur, he managed to win the Olympic bronze medal in Los Angeles in 1984. On the other hand, as a professional, the 'Real Deal' has a record of 44 wins, ten losses, two draws and one fight without result in his career.
