After an exuberant debut, the Englishman Paddy Pimblett showed a little more of his already known controversial style. After knocking out Luigi Vendramini No. UFC Las Vegas 36 last Saturday (04), the lightweight (up to 70,3kg) proclaimed himself 'new king' of the organization and praised his recovery in the clash against the Brazilian.

“People think I’m grappler and I just shut everyone up. I can switch, I can go to the ground, I can use wrestling, I have the personality, I have the look. The new king is here”, declared Pimblett in an interview after the show.
After a difficult start to the duel, Pimblett recovered and achieved the knockout. The English athlete was self-critical about his performance, but stated that the comeback showed his ability to recover during the fight.
“That would never go wrong. This is my destiny. I showed everyone that I can overcome adversity too, because he caught me with a good left hook. I need to stop letting people punch me in the face. I really want to put on a show, so I put my hands down and get into the gunfight with people. I do this at the gym. I can't help myself. I like to fight. It’s very stupid because it could go wrong, but it didn’t,” concluded the Englishman.
Considered the 'new Conor McGregor' by much of the specialized press, Paddy arrived with the 'right foot' in the organization. Former featherweight champion (up to 65,7kg) of Cage Warriors, Pimblett is considered a great promise in world MMA. The 26-year-old fighter has a record of 17 triumphs and three setbacks.
