“I want a chance against a ranked opponent. I feel like I'm underestimated and today I demonstrated that I'm a threat to the division. I feel like I sent that message today (Saturday) and I feel like I’m on the radar of a lot of these guys,” Rodriguez said.

Still ecstatic about the victory over Kevin Lee, Rodriguez accepted the fact that he was the underdog before the confrontation and classified the duel as the biggest victory of his career.

“That was definitely the biggest win of my career. Kevin Lee he was a big name, a ranked lightweight who moved up to welterweight. I was the underdog in this fight, which is something I'm used to and I'm comfortable with. I feel like the whole favoritism thing is just for numbers and rankings and things like that,” concluded Daniel.
