Ready to compete for the interim heavyweight title (up to 120,2kg) in Houston (USA), his hometown, Derrick Lewis showed confidence in making the local fans happy. The 'Black Beast' said he was aware of his responsibility but expressed his desire to make history in the main fight of the UFC 265 next Saturday (07).

“Of course there is a little pressure because Houston has never had a heavyweight champion before. I want to be the first. I want to make history. I'm not worried about anything he has. No matter who it is, they will all end up the same way: looking at the lights,” said Lewis.
In second place in the heavyweight rankings, Lewis dreams of a new opportunity to compete for the category's linear belt. In November 2018, 'Besta Negra' was finished by the then linear champion Daniel Cormier. The North American has a history in MMA of 25 triumphs and seven setbacks.
