This Saturday (6), José Aldo and Pedro Munhoz face each other in the co-main fight of UFC 265.

Remember some other clashes between Brazilians in the history of Ultimate.

Raphael Assunção x Pedro Munhoz (2014)

José Aldo is not Pedro Munhoz's first Brazilian opponent in Ultimate. In his debut for the organization, at UFC 170, the ATT athlete was defeated by Raphael Assunção.

Marlon Moraes x José Aldo (2019)

But José Aldo has also been defeated by a Brazilian in the octagon. The former champion lost to Marlon Moraes via unanimous decision at UFC 245.

José Aldo x  Renato Moicano  (2019)

Before being defeated by Marlon, however, Aldo defeated another Brazilian: Renato Moicano. The duel took place at UFC Fortaleza.

One of the last duels between Brazilians in Ultimate took place at UFC 262, when André Sergipano surprised, submitting and breaking Jacaré's arm.

André Sergipano x Ronaldo Jacare (2021)

Among women, the main duel between Brazilians took place at UFC 232, when Amanda Nunes knocked out Cris Cyborg and won her second title in the organization.

Amanda Nunes x  Cris Cyborg (2018)

Vitor Belfort x  Wanderlei Silva (1998)

It's not new that Brazilians face each other in the octagon. In 1998, in the first UFC event in Brazil, Vitor Belfort knocked out Wanderlei Silva in an emblematic way.

Anderson Silva x Victor Belfort (2011)

Speaking of an emblematic knockout, we couldn't leave out Anderson Silva's victory over Vitor Belfort in what became known as "The Fight of the Century".

Lyoto Machida x  Victor Belfort (2018)

Spider's knockout wasn't the only one suffered by Belfort against Brazilians. In their last fight for the UFC, Lyoto Machida repeated the same feat and did much the same against the Phenomenon.

Maurício Shogun x  Lyoto Machida (2009-2010)

The rivalry between Shogun and Lyoto marked the end of the 2000s. After Machida's victory in a very close decision in the first clash, Shogun achieved a knockout in the rematch and won the light heavyweight title.

Maurício Shogun x  Minotouro (2005-2020)

The rivalry between Shogun and Minotouro overcame barriers of organizations and decades. The two faced each other in PRIDE, in 2005 and in the UFC, in 2015 and 2020, with three victories for Shogun.
