Executioner of Uriah Hall last Saturday, Sean Strickland makes controversial statement after winning challenge and advancing in middleweight

New middleweight highlight (up to 83,9kg.), Sean Strickland has become increasingly known for his controversial statements. Protagonist of UFC Las Vegas 33, last Saturday (31), the athlete did not deviate from his characteristic after defeating Uriah Hall. In an interview, still in the Octagon, the fighter revealed a controversial dream for his career.

“If you like hurting people, you’re in the right sport. I would love to kill someone in the ring. Nothing beyond that. I would be very happy. (…) I would have to apologize to the police later. Being a psychopath is fun,” said the athlete, interviewed by Paul felder.

Even with the controversial statement, Sean placed himself in a prominent place in Ultimate after his dominant victory over Hall, in the main fight last weekend. With the points victory over his opponent, Strickland should once again reach the top 10 and will now pursue his dream of getting closer to a long-awaited title shot.

A former welterweight representative (up to 77kg), Sean has played a good role since moving up a category. In the middleweight division, the fighter extended his undefeated streak to five positive results.
