After much waiting and several provocations from both sides, Jon Jones e Chael Sonnen settle differences, this Saturday (27), in the main fight of UFC 159, an event that will be held in Newark, in the United States. The fighters, who were coaches on the 17th season of TUF, the UFC's reality show, take to the octagon set up at the Prudential Center in the fight for the organization's light heavyweight belt.

Considered a huge underdog in the duel for the light heavyweight belt, Sonnen is not intimidated and promises to make history for everyone who follows the duel.

In turn, Jones, who is trying to equal the record of Tito Ortiz as the athlete who has defended the light heavyweight title the most, he prefers not to respond to his rival's attacks. After accusing Sonnen of fighting doped, the champion adopts a more measured speech and promises to respond to Chael in the octagon.

“I study Chael a lot… His interviews and everything. I'm comfortable with him and what he says. He tries to be something he is not. No matter what you say, I always stay calm. But I will seize the right moment. Fight night arrives and it's beautiful. I’m patient,” said the champion.

Bisping vs. Belcher settle accounts

In the second most important fight of the night, another duel that promises to heat up the octagon. The English Michael Bisping measures strength against the North American Alan belcher. The athletes, who exchanged several barbs while promoting the fight and even some shoves during the press conference and weigh-in, need the victory to recover within the organization. Bisping is coming off a loss to Vitor belfort No. UFC Sao Paulo, in January this year, while Belcher was surpassed by Yushin Okami at UFC 155, held in December 2012.

Vinny Pezão represents Brazil

The only Brazilian on the UFC 159 fight program will be Vinny Pezão. The black belt will face the North American Phil Davis in one of the fights on the show's main card. Confident, the fighter from Rio de Janeiro said he will submit “Mr. Wonderful”, as Davis is known.

“I see many ways I can win this fight. Not that it's an easy fight, Phil is a great athlete and there's a reason why he's eighth in the UFC light heavyweight rankings, and also why people think this is an unequal fight. But the fact is that I see a lot of holes in his game, which I think is perfect for me. If he takes me down, I only need ten seconds to finish him,” said Vinny.
