Ultimate reschedules duel between Anderson Berinja and Miles Johns for UFC 265

Originally scheduled for last Saturday's UFC Vegas 31, the clash has been rescheduled for August 7

After the duel between Anderson Berinja and Miles Johns was removed from the UFC Las Vegas 31, Ultimate has already provided a new date for the confrontation. The organization rescheduled the fight for UFC 265 scheduled for August 7th. The information was first released by 'MMA fighting'.

The duel between the two athletes was originally scheduled for the UFC Las Vegas 31st last Saturday (17). However, the fight was canceled after one of the Brazilian's coaches tested positive for Covid-19. Even though the Tupiniquim athlete's test was negative, the organization's protocol recommends the suspension of the match.

With a record of 11 wins and one loss, Miles Johns arrived at the UFC in 2019. After participating in the reality show 'Contender Series, the North American was hired by the organization. Since then there have been two victories, over Cole Smith and Kevin Natividad and a setback for mario bautista.

MMA veteran, Anderson Berinja is looking to start a sequence of positive results. After suffering two defeats in his first two fights in Ultimate, the Brazilian fighter rehabilitated himself by submitting Martin Day in November last year. The Brazilian athlete has a record of 21 triumphs and eight setbacks.

O UFC 265 will be headlined by the dispute for the interim heavyweight belt (up to 120,2kg) between Derrick Lewis e Cyryl Gane. In the co-main fight of the night, the Brazilian Amanda nunes will put his bantamweight belt on the line against Julianna Pena. Brazilian athletes José Aldo e Vincent Luque will also be part of the show.
