After defeat to Dustin Poirier, Conor McGregor loses positions and falls in the lightweight rankings

Even though he suffered a fracture in his left ankle in UFC 265, Conor McGregor he also received another harsh consequence in the lightweight division (up to 70,3kg.). Defeated by Dustin poirier last Saturday (10), the Irishman lost two positions in the lightweight rankings. The information was confirmed in the weekly update on the official Ultimate website.

Former division champion, McGregor suffered his second straight defeat in the Octagon and dropped out of the top-5. He is in seventh place, behind Dustin poirier, Justin gaethje, Beneil Dariush, Michael chandler and now it has been surpassed by Tony Ferguson e Rafael dos Anjos – reserve in combat.

In the second most important fight of the night, Gilbert Durinho dominated Stephen Thompson and won by the judges' decision. The Brazilian, however, did not move up in the division and remains in second place. The North American remained in fourth.

Defeated in the event, It's Kunitskaya e Jessica Eye fell to sixth and eighth place, respectively. The Russian was replaced by Julianna Pena in roosters (up to 61,2kg.), while the North American saw the Brazilian Viviane Araujo take seventh place in flyweights (up to 56,7kg.).
