Couldn't Alexander Gustafson. The Swedish light heavyweight, who suffered a cut near his eye during training, will not be able to fight next Saturday (06), in the main fight of UFC on FUEL 9. In his place, the organization has called up the Brazilian Wanderlei Silva, which measures forces against Gegard Mousasi.
Even five days before the fight, Wand accepted the challenge and set out to 'save' the event, which will be held in Stockholm, Sweden. "I'm ready. Let's have a heart! I’m ready and I’m going with everything I can to knock him out,” wrote Silva on his Instagram account.
The duel against Mousasi will be Wanderlei's second in a row in the light heavyweight division. After returning to the category in which he reigned in Pride at the beginning of the last decade, the “Crazy Dog”, as he is known, knocked out Brian Stann at UFC Japan in March.
