Colby Covington mocks Leon Edwards' victory over Nate Diaz at UFC 263

Kamaru Usman's next challenger was dismissive of the Englishman's victory last Saturday and accused him of refusing fights during the Covid-19 pandemic

Second Colby covington, the victory of Leon edwards about Nate diaz No. UFC 263 it wasn't enough to put him in the position of number one contender at welterweight (up to 77,1kg). The North American stated that last Saturday's fight (12) was not important for the category and accused the English athlete of refusing fights. I don't know if Diaz has ever won a fight at welterweight and if he has, he definitely has more losses than wins. I don't remember when was the last time he won a fight overall. Five years ago?” asked Covington.

After Edwards asked for a duel against the champion, Kamaru Usman, the American insinuated that the English fighter lost the opportunity to fight for the belt because he hadn't stayed active.

“There were people struggling since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic and he didn’t want them. Edwards was turning down every fight he was offered. He was waiting to choose his fights. Leon did this to himself. The UFC knows he turned down many fights and was never ready to fight. I was always prepared”, he concluded the 'Chaos'.
