What happens after the events of pay-per-view, on Monday night (18), Ultimate updated its athlete rankings. Some important changes took place, mainly in the welterweight category – the busiest at UFC 158. The main one involved the last challenger for the division's belt, Nick Diaz.

After being defeated by Georges St Pierre, and despite having announced his retirement, Diaz, who appeared in third place in the division, fell to sixth place. Even without fighting, Rory McDonald benefited from the results of last Saturday's event (16) and moved up one position. The Canadian is now fourth. The one who did even better was Jake ellenberger. After his quick victory over Nate Marquardt, the American is now fourth on the list.

At the top of the 77 kg division, things remain unchanged. After another successful title defense, Georges St Pierre continues as the category title. The protagonists of the fight of the night at UFC 158, John hendricks e Carlos Condit, appear in first and second place, respectively, within the division.

The only Brazilian to change position in the last update of the Ultimate athlete ranking was Ronaldo “Jacaré” Souza. The middleweight, who didn't even make his debut in the organization, fell one place and “swapped” positions with Chael Sonnen. Jacaré is now ninth among the middleweights and the TUF 17 coach is eighth.
