On the eve of defending his belt, Douglas Lima says he is ready to keep his title

Current welterweight champion (Up to 77,1 kg.) at Bellator, Douglas lima has a big challenge ahead. At this Friday's event (11), in Connecticut (USA), the Brazilian faces Yaroslav Amosov and promises to deliver a high-level performance. To win, the Tupiniquim will need to break the Ukrainian's unbeaten run.

“He is dangerous, so I did my best in training. He's an experienced and undefeated guy, I trained a lot and I'm ready, it will be one of my best performances”, said the Brazilian, in a press conference for the event.

Douglas's last appearance in Bellator was in October 2020, when he ended up defeated by Gegard Mousasi in middleweights (up to 83,9 kg.). The Brazilian has already taken part in the event 18 times, with a record of 32 wins and eight losses.

Douglas' opponent, Yaroslav Amosov enters the cage with 25 wins and no losses, the longest active unbeaten record in MMA. The Ukrainian fought six times for Bellator and beat names like Ed Ruth and Erick silva.
