On the eve of his duel against Aiden Lee at Bellator 260, Aaron Pico uses the defeats suffered in his career as inspiration for his evolution as a fighter. “I feel like I wouldn't be the fighter I am today if that (the losses) hadn't happened. If I was 10-0 in my career with 10 knockouts, I wouldn't have tried to really understand the variants of a fight. I really got good in all areas. I'm fighting well in clinch, on the ground, with my elbows… I wouldn’t have had to adapt and discover this if I hadn’t been defeated”, said Pico.

After arriving at Bellator without any professional fights on his resume, the American fighter cited his evolution in the sport and placed himself among the best in the world today.

“I really believe that I am one of the best fighters in the world and I can say that without any problem. Before, it was a little strange for me to say this because I didn't know much about MMA. I was very 'green'. Now, I've been in this game for a few years and I truly believe I'm going to be one of the best fighters to ever walk this planet. It may take some time but we will get there, that’s for sure”, concluded the North American.

Current number six in the featherweight rankings, Aaron is looking for a victory that could put him in the top-5 of the division. The North American has been enjoying three consecutive victories in the organization. His last setback was in June 2019 for Adam Borics.
