In search of a place in the top-5 of the flyweight division (up to 56,7kg), Viviane Araujo knows that the path passes through a victory over Katlyn chookagian next Saturday (15). The Brazilian showed confidence in a good performance in the UFC 262 and declared that he hopes to get closer to a title fight if he beats his opponent. The statement was given in an interview with 'Combate'.

“I believe that with a great performance on Saturday I will be in 'goal' to compete for the title. Even more so if we have a great fight and impress a lot, which is the intention we are going into the fight”, declared Vivi.

“We studied Katlyn a lot to nullify her game. She has a bigger wingspan, we sharpen our boxing a lot to take away her distance advantage and use my best, which is my aggression, my explosion and hurt her a lot from above”, said the fighter.

With a record of 10 wins and two losses, Viviane is looking to get closer to the top-5 in the flyweight division. The Brazilian is currently seventh in the ranking of the category. In her last fight, the 34-year-old fighter beat American Roxane Modafferi in January of this year.
