Sad news for those who were eagerly awaiting the meeting between Yoel romero e Anthony Johnson. According to information from Bellator, the Cuban failed the medical tests carried out before the fight and is out of the super fight that would take place on May 7th. The company announced the news on its social networks and is looking for a replacement for the North American.

Although it is outside the Bellator 258, the company still hopes to count on the Cuban for future events. In the same publication, the organization highlighted the importance of the athlete, who was one of the main signings for the season.
“Romero will become eligible to compete in the coming months. We look forward to seeing it debut in the near future. Bellator will look to reschedule the fight against Johnson for the future,” they concluded.
The clash between Yoel and Anthony would mark the main fight of the May 7 show. In addition to promoting the meeting of two big names in UFC history, the confrontation would be valid for the company's light heavyweight tournament (up to 93kg).
