Brazil started with a bang in the PFL's light heavyweight division (up to 93.1 kg). In the show's second edition of the 2021 season, Antonio Shoe Guy e Cezar Mutant they beat Tom Lawlor and Nick Roehrick in the first round, respectively. Now, Brazilian athletes have six points and lead the category with an eye on the playoffs. The show was held this Thursday (29), in Atlantic City (USA).

the duel between Antonio Shoe Guy and Tom Lawlor started with a lot of study and little exchange of blows in the first minutes. Around halfway through the initial round, the North American took the Brazilian down and tried to land a submission, without success. Shoe Face he managed the comeback and in a sensational transition he landed a guillotine choke and submitted his opponent.
After seven years in the UFC, Shoe Face he debuted with six points in the PFL light heavyweight tournament and recovered after three straight defeats. The Brazilian fighter now has a record of 11 wins and five setbacks.
Veteran Tom Lawlor suffered his third consecutive defeat. Also debuting in the organization, the North American was unable to recover from the bad phase he is going through in his career. The 37-year-old fighter now boasts a record of 10 wins, eight losses and one 'No Contest'

Debuting in the PFL, Cezar Mutant didn't give Nick Roehrick a chance. The Brazilian started the duel with everything against the North American and managed a beautiful knockout in the first minutes of the opening round. With the triumph, the fighter gained six points in the light heavyweight (up to 93kg) tournament.
With the knockout over Nick, Mutante won again after two consecutive defeats and practically guaranteed himself in the playoffs of the light heavyweight tournament. The Brazilian now has a record of 13 wins and eight defeats.
Another newcomer to the company, Nick Roehrick didn't even have time to show his game. Having been defeated by the fast track, the 33-year-old fighter will have one more fight to try and guarantee his place in the knockout stage. The fighter now has a record of 9 wins and 2 losses

The first half of the fight between Sadiboy Sy and Nikolay Aleksakhin took place with the fighters looking to strike. The Russian dominated the center of the decagon and landed the best blows. The Swede responded with kicks and punches but his opponent was slightly superior.
The second round began with Sadiboy seeking more attack and trying to corner the Russian who responded with leg kicks trying to undermine his rival's base. Around three minutes in, the fight was interrupted due to Sy punching Alekshakhin in the eye. The organization's doctor was called to further evaluate the athlete and decreed that he would not be able to continue in the fight. The fight was declared 'No Contest' (no result) and each athlete took home one point.
Russian Nikolay Alekshakhin sees his streak of seven consecutive victories interrupted. After having a good participation in the 2019 season, the 30-year-old fighter is one of the names in the division to win the light heavyweight tournament (up to 93kg). The fighter now boasts a record of 26 wins, five defeats and one 'no contest'.
Swedish Sadiboy Sy gets his second fight with a result that is not a victory or defeat. After drawing with Ray Cooper III In October 2019, the 34-year-old fighter begins the 2021 season with a no-result duel. The 'giant' now has a record of eight wins, five setbacks, two draws and one 'no contest'

The duel that opened the second night of fights of the 2021 PFL season began with the dominance of Martin Hamlet, who took down Dan Sophn in the first seconds of the fight. The Norwegian fighter spent practically the entire first round on top of his opponent, striking and looking for a submission attempt.
At the beginning of the second half, the scenario was repeated but with a different ending. Hamlet took down Spohn again at the beginning of the round, however, in the first minute the Norwegian submitted his opponent with a choke.
With the victory, Hamlet starts the 2021 PFL season on the right foot. The 29-year-old fighter wins five points in the light heavyweight (up to 93kg) tournament. Debuting in the organization, the fighter now boasts a record of seven wins and one defeat.
Starting off on the wrong foot in the 2021 93 kg group tournament, Dan Spohn suffered his third consecutive defeat. The 36-year-old fighter now has a record of 18 wins and seven setbacks.
