After losing the strawweight belt (under 52,1kg) to Rose namajunas No. UFC 261, last Saturday (24), Weili Zhang used your 'Instagram' to speak out. The Chinese praised the new champion of the category, but stated that she hopes to get an immediate rematch.

“I want to congratulate Rose (Namajunas) on her victory. She recovered well from losing her first belt. I believe I will come back too. Before, my goal was to win the UFC title, but today, I have a bigger goal than that. Thank you everyone!” Zhang wrote.
The former leader of the under-52,1kg group was not too shaken by the loss of the title and promised to return to the top. Citing other fighters who have challenged for the strawweight belt more than once, Zhang stated that she hopes for a second opportunity to share the Octagon with Namajunas.
“Losing and winning is normal. This is the UFC. (Jéssica) Andrade, Joanna (Jedrzejczyk) and Rose lost and they all had other opportunities to compete for the title. So, I believe I can come back. I hope Ultimate arranges a rematch soon”, concluded 'Magnum'.
With the defeat to Namajunas in the UFC 261, Zhang was defeated for the first time in Ultimate. Hired in 2018, the Chinese athlete had five consecutive victories in the organization. The 31-year-old fighter has a record of 21 triumphs and two setbacks.
