Considered a dangerous opponent for Amanda, Anderson could show little against the Brazilian. Former Invicta FC champion, the Australian felt the power of the Bahian's strikes and ended up losing the fifth fight of her career.

The triumph marked Nunes' 21st victory as a professional in MMA. The Brazilian, in addition to the featherweight title, the Bahian also holds the bantamweight belt (up to 61,2kg).

The fight

The champion took the initiative in the confrontation with a low kick at her opponent. Megan tried to impose her greatest reach. The Brazilian defended a kick thrown by the Australian and attacked the challenger with a series of punches. The 'Lioness' shook her opponent with a cross. The Australian felt the attack and looked for the takedown. Nunes defended well and, on the ground, took advantage of Anderson's oversight. The Bahian woman got an armbar and forced her rival to give up.
