'Paraense Voador' is negotiating a confrontation against the former UFC welterweight champion (up to 77kg), Robbie Lawler for a show in April. The information was confirmed by SUPER FIGHTS directly with the combatant.

At a great stage in his career, Pereira remains firm with his plan to join the elite of the under-77kg category as quickly as possible. With each performance, the athlete has been attracting more and more attention from fans – not just Brazilians – due to his different style of presenting himself.
In his last fight, 'Paraense Voador' overcame the promising Kalinn Williams, in a fight held in December 2020. On that occasion, the Brazilian got the better of the North American, winning by unanimous decision from the judges.
Since last season, Michel has insisted on a confrontation with Lawler, who is not going through the best moment in his career. Welterweight champion between 2014 and 2016, the athlete, who was once considered one of the biggest names in the organization, today has five defeats in his last six appearances.
Robbie currently occupies 15th position in the group led by Kamaru Usman. If the duel is confirmed and Pereira overcomes the former champion, the Brazilian, who has been in Ultimate since 2019, would be officially included in the category's elite.
