With 100% success since his debut in Ultimate, Amanda ribas continues to chart a path of success within the organization. If the Brazilian's talent has been evident to fans with each performance, for Marcos DaMatta, one of Minas Gerais' technicians in American Top Team (ATT), the belt is a matter of time. In an interview with 'MMA Junkie', the coach praised the qualities of the athlete, who faces Marina Rodriguez No. UFC 257, on January 23.

“She is definitely one of the future American Top Team champions. We really believe that. It's not because I train her. It's because she is the complete package. Good at standing, incredible at judo, good jiu-jitsu, great attitude, charisma and the list goes on,” said Marcos.
In the UFC since June 2019, Amanda, to date, has overcome four commitments without any major difficulties. For DaMatta, the Minas Gerais native's dominant performances are a consequence of the preparation that the athlete has received to appear in the elite of women's MMA, both in strawweight (up to 52,1kg) and flyweight (up to 56,7kg).
“She’s incredible at strawweight. Extremely focused. She's already at her weight the week of the fight, even ahead of schedule. In his last fight (UFC 251), she had an easy time in the up to 56,7kg category. So, I think her mentality makes a difference. She's not just training to beat Mackenzie (Dern), Randa (Markos), Paige (VanZant) or Marina (Rodriguez). She is training to be the best,” she concluded.
On the 23rd, Amanda will exchange forces against her compatriot Marina Rodriguez, which appears in eighth position in the ranking led by Weili Zhang. If she has another success, the Minas Gerais team will take another step towards the top 5 and will remain one of the favorites for a future fight for the division title.
