Almost a week after his tough defeat to Charles of the Bronx No. UFC 256, Tony Ferguson decided to 'cause' on social media. In a live broadcast held on his Instagram profile, 'Bicho Papão' analyzed images of his confrontation against the Brazilian and, contrary to the opinion of some fans, members of the specialized press and judges, denied that he was largely dominated in the co-main event.

Initially, Ferguson comments on a moment in which Charles takes custody and, from above, controls the actions. In this way, Tony ended up being nullified in some situations during the 15 minutes played.
“We don’t waste energy here, not even on jiu-jitsu fights. Just be patient and wait for the opportunity for him to advance and get lazy to the point that, in the third round, he doesn't try the mount anymore. What he did was control the side position, looking for something completely different, a different movement, because he was mentally broken in the first round”, said Tony.
Ferguson then said that he reviewed the confrontation without comments and analyzes from commentators. Thus, the athlete, according to himself, could have his criticism – positive or negative – about the performance of both in the UFC 256.
“I watched the video again without the comments that said: 'you were dominated, this and that…'. (…) Advanced positions for traditional martial arts styles, you will get points, advantages and different situations. But the judging and the competition up to the commission, I don't even know if they were there. I’m going to be real”, he concluded.
Ferguson's defeat to Do Bronx confirmed the North American's bad phase in the 2020 season. In May, the fighter faced and ended up hard beaten by Justin gaethje, in the clash that would accredit the winner to face Khabib Nurmagomedov for the unification of the lightweight title (up to 70,3kg.). With the new setback, the 'Bogeyman' is further away from his dream of fighting for the linear belt, which today belongs to the Russian, against whom his battle commitments were canceled on five occasions.
