UFC signs Deiveson Figueiredo's brother and sets flyweight debut for January

After observing Deiveson Figueiredo To shine with the Ultimate gloves, the organization decided to hire the brother of the current flyweight champion (up to 56,7kg). Francisco Figueredo, aged 31, is the company's newest representative and will be part of the same category as 'God of War'. The newcomer even has his first commitment confirmed in the organization. The information was released by 'Combate'.

Former champion of Jungle Fight, Francisco has barely arrived and already has his UFC debut underway. The fighter will face Jerome Rivera on January 20, at the event that should take place in Abu Dhabi, on the famous 'Fight Island'.

Brother of Ultimate's new favorite, Francisco, today has 16 appearances as a professional in MMA. In the sport since 2009, the athlete has achieved 11 positive results, has three defeats, one draw and one fight without result.

Francisco hasn't fought since September of last year. On that occasion, the man from Pará drew with Eduardo de Souza Silva, in a valid fight for the Jungle Fight.

On his social media, Deiveson's brother, who used to play in the bantamweight division (up to 61,2kg), showed his excitement for the new career challenge.

“I'm excited for my new category. 57kg, See you soon”, wrote the new Ultimate athlete on his Instagram account.
