Almost 10 years have passed since the struggle between Anderson Silva e Vitor belfort, at UFC 126, in February 2011. But the 'Phenomenon' still hasn't forgotten the setback against his compatriot. Anderson, who is free from his UFC contract and willing to continue fighting, is looking for a 'new home' and Belfort sees a good chance of seeking a rematch.

In an interview with 'TMZ Sports', from the USA, Vitor claimed that Spider is famous for having defeated him to this day. “Anderson is living off that kick, so let’s go”, he said, without first turning his target to another veteran: Chael Sonnen.

Where would the rematch be?

Vitor belfort has been in contact with ONE UFC, an Asian event, since March 2019, but has not yet debuted in the organization. Although the rematch against Spider is the big attraction, it has an obstacle. The event's chairman, Chatri Sityodtong, revealed that has no interest in hiring Anderson Silva, even though the Brazilian is free on the market.
