UFC President Dana White surprised everyone when he revealed during the UFC on FOX 5 press conference that Dan Henderson was not fully recovered from a knee injury – suffered in August this year, which took him out of contention for the light heavyweight belt – and the veteran might not be able to face the Brazilian Lyoto Machida at UFC 157, an event scheduled to take place on February 23, 2013.

“I keep hearing that the  knee of Dan Henderson is not yet fully healed. So maybe he (Gustafsson) will be able to fight Machida at UFC 157,” said Dana White, in an interview after UFC on FOX 5.

However, Brazilian Ricardo Pantcho, responsible for Hendo's jiu-jitsu training, made a point of denying Dana White's information and assured that the former Pride and Strikeforce champion is fully recovered from the injury.
