The Hawaiian B.J. Penn was completely dominated upon his return to the octagon. After announcing his retirement from MMA, the former champion of the UFC lightweight and welterweight categories was unable to find himself in the duel against Rory McDonald and was largely dominated during the three rounds of the fight held at UFC on FOX 5, held last Saturday (08). BJ's performance made Dana White, president of the franchise, say that the fighter should revisit his return to competition.
“BJ is a warrior, who doesn’t give up. I have a lot of respect for him, who I will be with through thick and thin, however, I would like to see him retired. He has a lot of money, a great family, babies, a beautiful wife and he doesn't need to prove anything to anyone, everyone loves him. You heard the arena saying that,” White said.
With an MMA record of 16 wins, two draws and nine losses, Penn, alongside Randy Coutre, are the only UFC champion athletes in two different categories.
