“I didn’t need to face low-quality fighters. Jones' latest performances show he is finished. I only talk about Jones when asked, but every time I fight, he says something stupid to provoke. He tries to steal the spotlight, but he can take some of my shine if he wants. I can't understand how jealous he is of me. He shouldn't have it, but he does! Jones was very successful and now he sees someone else being successful and him not. Jones is jealous because I’m doing what he would like to have done,” Adesanya attacked.

And do not stop there. The Nigerian bragged about having gotten into a verbal war with 'Bones' and compared the situation to a fight between an old lion and a younger one.

“I'm the new light heavyweight champion and Jones moved up to heavyweight, but he wants to come back. There's been a troll screwing with him for a year and a half, saying he's weak. I'm still going strong and I have work to do. This is a beautiful story of a fallen king, trying to regain his throne, but a new lion appeared and marked the territory”, he concluded.

The next appointment Israel adesanya will be in 2021, against the light heavyweight champion, Jan Blachowicz, but Jon Jones, who gave up the category belt to venture into the heavyweight division (120,2kg), still has no set date for his debut, nor an opponent.
