“We are very motivated. I have a very good mind, I'm well prepared for this fight. I believe I can knock him out in the first round, but in the fight I think we have to be prepared for 15 minutes. The knockout or submission are consequences of a good fight. My desire is to be able to knock him out and give a good presentation to whoever is watching. It will be my first fight on the main card and I need to show a good fight to those who are watching”, said the Brazilian, in an interview with ‘Combate’.

Without fighting since December last year, when he crashed Said Nurmagomedov, Raoni analyzed this weekend's opponent. Even though he was willing to face a rival without a complete training period, Barcelos managed to study his rival's qualities and defects.

“He is very aggressive. He's a striker (fighting on his feet) and he always goes for it, but I think my game is very busy, I don't stay much in my opponent's range of action, so I think for him to find me he's going to have to expose himself, and if If I get within my range of action, I will be able to catch him and surprise him with a strong blow, and end up knocking him out”, he concluded.

At 33 years old, Raoni is making his 17th appearance in MMA. In more than eight years of his career, the Rio native only lost one match, in April 2014. Since then, the athlete has been collecting victims in each match.
