One of the biggest names in the light heavyweight category (up to 93kg.), Glover Teixeira warned Israel adesanya about the possible change of the middleweight champion (up to 83,9kg.) division. With vast experience in MMA, the Brazilian praised the Nigerian, but pondered the success that the athlete may or may not have in the top category.

“He (Adesanya) is good and would reach the best, for sure. He's a great athlete, fighter, intelligent, but the weight difference counts. I know, because he trains with heavy weights (up to 120,2kg) and it's difficult. Fatigue and pressure are different”, said the Brazilian, in conversation with 'MMA Fighting'.
Glover's statement came in light of recent news that Israel should venture into light heavyweight to seek his second UFC belt. According to the company's president, Dana White, the Nigerian should be selected for a superfight against the current champion of the under-93kg group. Jan Blachowicz.
The information could fall like a bucket of cold water on Teixeira and also on his opponent this Saturday, Thiago Marreta. The Brazilians exchange forces this weekend, at UFC Las Vegas 13, and, in principle, the fight would be an eliminator to decide the next title challenger.
Currently, Glover, 41, is in third place in the category, while Marreta, 36, is number one.
