Bisping (photo) complains about Sonnen’s multiple chances to fight for the belt
The choice of Chael Sonnen to be the next challenger for the light heavyweight belt of Jon Jones It still generates complaints among fighters. After Lyoto Machida, Dan Henderson e Quinton Rampage Jackson criticize the choice, this time it was Michael Bisping, who is from the middleweight division, who complained about the choice of the controversial North American.
“I can understand from a business perspective why Chael sells. But it's frustrating, because I've been waiting my entire career for a title shot, and the guy has challenged for the title in three of his last five fights,” said Sonnen, in an interview with North American ESPN.
Before fighting for the light heavyweight belt, Sonnen and Jones will coach the 17th edition of TUF, the UFC's reality show. And despite criticism of the choice, Bisping is betting on a great season for the program. “I understand Sonnen’s choice (for TUF), and it’s going to be a great season of The Ultimate Fighter,” added the fighter.
The fight between Jon Jones e Chael Sonnen will be held after TUF 17, April 27th of next year. Already Michael Bisping returns to the Octagon on Brazilian soil. The Brit will face the Vitor belfort, January 19th, in a location not yet defined.
